Hiking: While the most popular hikes in Yosemite are well known such as the Half Dome Cable Hike (where your clients can combine two iconic hikes by taking the Mist Trail to see Vernal Falls and Nevada Falls before hitting Yosemite’s most iconic rock face), there are many lesser-known Yosemite hikes. Make sure to download Yosemite's Vacation Planner below to discover more trails.

Rafting: Drift lazily down the Merced River to view the iconic scenery of Yosemite Valley, or bounce through whitewater on a rafting trip led by expert guides in the spring and early summer.

Rock climbing: Yosemite National Park is one of the great rock climbing centers of the world. Non-climbers may simply enjoy a picnic lunch while watching the most elite on their way up El Capitan. Top Yosemite Must-Sees

Mariposa County is the home of Yosemite National Park, at 3,027 square kilometers (1,169 square miles) in size, not including the surrounding national forests and gateway communities to explore. Visitors should plan on two nights stay – at minimum – to truly experience this magical place.

Majestic Granite: The granite monoliths in Yosemite Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage destination, are unrivaled. Half Dome is among the most famous rock formations in the world and at 4,737 feet (1,444 meters) from base to summit, El Capitan is one of the largest. For some of the best views of these icons, your clients can drive up to Glacier Point or stop in at Tunnel View.

Waterfalls: The best-known waterfall is Yosemite Falls and it is also one of the tallest in North America and fifth highest in the world. There are countless others to explore as well, including Ribbon Fall, Bridalveil Fall and Chilnualna Falls. Early spring (April/May) is the best time to visit for waterfalls.

Giant Trees: In the park your clients can spot the impressive giant sequoias. In Mariposa Grove, one of the oldest living trees is known as the Grizzly Giant. Its age is somewhere between 1,900-2,400 years old, and it has a base diameter of 30 feet (9 meters) across.

Wildlife: Yosemite is home to many species of wildlife, including American black bears, majestic great gray owls, plucky marmots, and much more. Seeing any of these animals in their natural home makes for an unforgettable experience.
